Kickstarter and Crowd Control are delighted to announce that all future Crowd Control Pledge Manager projects will be supported directly through Kickstarter’s Pledge Manager moving forward.
What’s changing?
Going forward, Kickstarter’s Pledge Manager will be the home for all new Crowd Control Pledge Manager projects. Creators starting a new pledge manager project will now use Kickstarter’s integrated pledge management tools.
What does this mean for my current project?
If you currently have an active or completed pledge manager project with Crowd Control, nothing is changing. Your project will remain supported by the Crowd Control team and all existing commitments will be honored.
Any future projects can use Kickstarter’s integrated pledge management tools, including their new Shopify app.
Where should I launch a new pledge manager project?
All new pledge manager projects can now be launched through Kickstarter’s Pledge Manager.
As a Shopify user, you’ll also have access to the Kickstarter Shopify app, which helps streamline post-campaign fulfillment by automatically sending finalized Pledge Manager orders to Shopify. You can manage fulfillment using your existing Shopify products and workflows, while tracking information syncs back to Kickstarter.

Does Kickstarter have an integration with Shopify similar to Crowd Control?
Yes. Kickstarter now has a direct integration available in the Shopify App Store. It enables creators to send finalized backer orders directly into Shopify, map Kickstarter rewards to existing Shopify products and variants, control when orders are synced, and return fulfillment tracking information to Kickstarter.

Is Crowd Control shutting down?
No. Crowd Control will continue to operate, and its website will remain live. This change reflects a new home for future pledge manager projects only.
Why is this happening?
This move allows pledge management to live closer to where campaigns begin — on Kickstarter — making it easier for creators to move from funding to fulfillment with fewer handoffs and more integrated tools.
Will pricing change?
Kickstarter’s pledge manager has a single 5% fee for all collected funds (exlcuding taxes). You can review the full fee breakdown on Kickstarter’s fees page.
Will I still receive support?
Yes. Support will remain available.
Existing Crowd Control projects will continue to receive full support from the Crowd Control team.
All new pledge manager projects will now be managed through Kickstarter’s Pledge Manager, built to help creators move more seamlessly from campaign funding to fulfillment.
