Full Policy
Crowd Control LLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”) develops and provides Shopify apps (“the Apps”), including Relocate+ Order Editor and Crowd Control Pledge Manager. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information in connection with our Apps.
Information We Collect
For Relocate+ Order Editor
- Merchant Information: Store name, email address, and settings provided by Shopify at install.
- Customer & Order Information: Customer name, shipping address, purchased products, order notes, and order status—only as needed to allow order edits such as address corrections, product swaps, and cancellations.
For Crowd Control Pledge Manager
- Merchant Information: Store and project details shared during setup.
- Backer Information: Shipping details, pledge selections, and order data imported from Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Shopify—only to collect backer data, manage fulfillment, and enable optional upsells/pre-orders.
How We Use Information
- To provide and operate the Apps’ core functionality.
- To help merchants manage orders, pledges, and fulfillment.
- To improve performance, reliability, and support of the Apps.
- To communicate with merchants about their account, updates, and support.
- To comply with applicable legal requirements.
Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade merchant, customer, or backer data.
We may share information only in these limited cases:
- Service Providers: With trusted third-party providers (e.g., hosting, storage, logging/analytics) under confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
- Legal Compliance: Where required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
Data Retention
We retain information only as long as necessary to provide the Apps’ services and for legitimate business or legal purposes. When data is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.
Merchants can request deletion of data related to their store at any time by contacting us at amigo@crowdcontrol.co.
Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures designed to protect data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure.
Merchant & Customer Rights
Subject to applicable laws (including GDPR and CCPA), merchants and their customers/backers may request:
- Access to personal data we process on their behalf,
- Correction of inaccurate data, and
- Deletion of personal data.
If we receive a customer/backer request directly, we will notify the relevant merchant when appropriate, as merchants are typically the data controllers for store/backer data.
International Data Transfers
Our services may process and store data in the United States or other jurisdictions where we or our service providers operate. We take steps to ensure transferred data receives adequate protection under applicable privacy laws.
Children’s Privacy
Our Apps are intended for use by merchants and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by a revised “Last updated” date and will be effective when posted.
